Who We Are
Created in 1999, APCYF is a community-led advisory group comprised of dedicated community volunteers along with County and School Staff. We consist of 16 appointed community members, 8 designated County and School staff, along with people who are interested in the work of APCYF. Read our Charter from the County Board, updated May 2014.
What We Do
We identify community needs through research and surveys; engage the community to find ways to meet the needs, and advocate for improved policies and programs.
How to Join
We invite you to attend any of our regular or committee meetings to get a feel for APCYF. Meet members and talk to leadership who can answer any questions you may have.
Roles & Responsibilities
We ask all of our members to sign an agreement form that spells out the expectations of membership on APCYF.
We meet the fourth Wednesday of each month in the DHS Sequoia Building (2100 Washington Blvd., Arlington, VA 22204) from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
