APCYF launched the Connect with Kids campaign in 2003 to emphasize a simple, but very powerful idea: Children and teens need caring adults other than their parents in their lives. As part of this campaign, the Partnership recognizes teens and adults who make a positive difference in the lives of children. We call them Connect with Kids Champions 2004-2016.
DID YOU KNOW? A young person needs 3 or more positive, non-parent adults in his or her life! That will increase the chance that a he or she will make healthy life choices. BUT Only half of Arlington teens have 3 or more adults in their lives. Anyone can Connect With Kids! Find a teen and start listening to him or her. You’ll be amazed at what it can do.
