APCYF Meeting Information and Notes
The full membership of the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families (APCYF) meets 4th Wednesday of each month, 6:00–8:00pm at Sequoia Lower Level unless otherwise indicated.

Chair Council: Comprised of Chairs of all the committees to share what is happening throughout the work of the partnership. The committee meets on the first Monday of the month at 5:00pm at Sequoia.
Planning and Development: This committee works to foster group development as the Partnership evolves and changes over time. The committee works to build a shared understanding of the Partnership’s vision and mission among members and clarify and redefine the roles of members. This committee meets directly after the Chair Council meetings on the first Mondays at 6:00pm at Sequoia.
Data Committee – Works to support the research activities of the Partnership. Meets on Fridays at 11 at DHS.
Developmental Assets Committee – The Assets Committee guides our efforts to ensure that Arlington is an asset-building community. It sets priorities for outreach to different sectors of the community and works to develop strategies to increase awareness and implementation of the Developmental Assets Framework in Arlington. Meets the 3rd Monday of the month, 9:00-10:30am at DHS.
Early Childhood: Focus is on early childhood, connecting to parents and messaging the importance of early childhood development. Meets on the third Mondays at 5:00pm at Sequoia.
Teen Network Board (TNB) – This committee supports the TNB mission (Provide a voice for Arlington teens) by working with the teens to develop and implement plans focused on issues they have identified. The committee also works to sustain the TNB and create connections between the Partnership and TNB. Meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays during the school year, 6:30-8:30pm at Central Library.
Community Engagement Process Committee (CEP) – The Partnership produces a Community Report Card every five years. This Committee looks at the findings of the Report Card and engages the community through work groups and meetings to identify community concerns and develop strategies to address those concerns. Meets as needed.
Communications Committee – This Committee develops a strategic communications plan to reach a variety of audiences who want to publicize the Partnership’s efforts to meet the needs of children, youth, and families in Arlington. Meets via Skype as needed.
READY Coalition – Community members from 12 sectors including Arlington Public Schools, the Courts, law enforcement, parents, faith communities, Civic Associations, the Community Service Board and others have joined in an effort to reinforce the message that “Teen Drinking is Preventable not Inevitable,” and promote a message that marijuana use adds nothing to a teens’ lives while putting their futures at risk. Meets every other month, contact APCYF for schedule.
Out-of-School Time (OST): Meets every other month to discuss efforts in Arlington around out-of-school time events and activities.
Care for a Change (CFAC): An initiative that promotes empathy messaging to parents and youth.
Healthy Child Action Team (HCAT): This team meets monthly to support Childhood Obesity Prevention efforts.
